Free trials are only available to new subscribers to Siansplan.com. Previous subscribers or triallists do not qualify for a free trial. The free trial is available only once to any one person. Subsequent free trials by the same person at any address, or by another person at the same address, are not permitted. You must have internet access and valid payment details to redeem a free trial offer.

Your free trial period will commence on the date registration is completed and the account is successfully created.

Billing Starts unless you Cancel

We will begin billing you at the end of your free trial, and thereafter on prescribed intervals, monthly unless otherwise indicated, for the Siansplan.com package that you have chosen, unless you cancel prior to the end of your free trial. We will continue to bill you by your chosen payment method for the package that you have chosen until you complete the cancellation process.

You must cancel your account (by emailing cancel@siansplan.com) before the end of your free trial to avoid charges.

Changes to Package or Details during Free Trial

You may change (upgrade or downgrade) your subscription package once during a free trial. Any additional, subsequent change to your subscription package during any free trial period will, in either case, result in the termination of the free trial and the start of your regular billing as described.

Payment

As a subscriber to Siansplan.com, you agree that we are permitted to charge subscription fees and any other charges that you may incur in connection with your use of Siansplan.com. The subscription charges for the Siansplan.com package of your choice will be charged on the day immediately after your free trial ends (if applicable) or on the first day you subscribe to the Siansplan.com package of your choice if you are not eligible for a free trial; and, from then on, on the calendar day corresponding to the commencement of your membership subscription (each, a "Subscription Renewal Date"). This charge will continue on each Subscription Renewal Date thereafter unless and until you cancel, and regardless of how much you use the service. We will automatically charge you, using your specified payment method, each period (monthly unless otherwise specified) (your "Subscription Month") on or after your Subscription Renewal Date. All fees and charges are non-refundable. If you wish to use a different payment method, or if there is a change in your card validity or expiry date, you may edit payment details by emailing us at editaccount@siansplan.com. Any increase in your bill resulting from an upgrade will take effect immediately, being pro-rated to the remainder of your billing period, and the increase will be charged immediately (without changing any subsequent billing dates). Additional charges, resulting from an upgrade, are non-refundable. Do's and Dont's of Adding Recipes to siansplan.com

  1. Do take your time and enjoy adding your recipes. You are building a 'Personal Online Family Cook Book' which you can use for meal planning and creating your weekly shopping list as well as sharing recipes
  2. Do add a short description such as nutritional specification, where/who you amended the recipe from, your inspiration for this recipe and/or a story about the recipe -this helps to make each recipe unique.
  3. Do use recipes you know work, rather than hoping they work.
  4. Do use your own words to describe the method for each recipe. We all have a unique way of writing, it makes reading the recipe much more interesting.
  5. Do check over each recipe before you press the final save button
  6. Do be courteous if you are adapting a recipe from a website by including the site's original website page, and if you're adapting a recipe from a cookbook, state the name of the cookbook and the author.
  7. Do include recipes that have inspired you but you have changed a number of ingredients and re-written the method in your own words, again be courteous and state that this recipe was inspired by (eg Sian Breslin).
  8. Do ask if someone gives you permission to use a recipe, whether they want to be acknowledged. (When you have permission from anyone to use their recipe, it can be written word for word - professional chef's and celebrities etc. must be acknowledged.)
  9. Don't copy word for word recipes from books, magazines, leaflets and online - even your favourite celebrity cook won't appreciate you doing that without permission.
  10. Do add a photograph of your dish, preferably in natural light.
  11. Do persevere, the time spent adding your favourite recipes now, will help you achieve your reasons for becoming a member of siansplan.com

What's the story with the colours? A video guide.

Our colours are designed to make your life easier. They're a way for you to organise when you can cook and when you can't. Using the colour system will help you to reduce your food waste, control your shopping, optimise your family's health and go a long way to reducing your stress levels.

red circle

On a red day you plan what you're going to cook, shop for those ingredients and then cook. Red days are when you cook from scratch

green circle

On a green day you pull together a meal using leftovers and ingredients in the fridge and store-cupboard. Green days are when you use up your leftovers.

yellow circle

On an amber day you're unsure whether you're cooking or not. You need flexibility. Amber days are special and can be converted into any other colour.

blue circle

On a blue day you cook a bigger quantity than than you need. Freeze the remainder or use the leftovers for one of your green days. Blue days are batch cooking days.

white circle

Some days we can't or don't want to cook. There's nothing wrong with that. On a white day you may reheat a blue day meal or even stick a pizza in the oven.
